Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and versatile individual to join our team as a Packing, Testing, Shipping, and Administrative Support Specialist. This role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a strong focus on quality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will assist in the efficient packing and testing of products, ensure timely shipping, and provide support for administrative tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing and Shipping:
- Accurately pack products for shipment, ensuring safe and secure packaging that meets company and shipping standards.
- Label and prepare items for shipping, ensuring correct documentation and tracking information.
- Coordinate and schedule pickups with shipping carriers.
- Manage inventory of packing materials and reorder as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing area.
- Product Testing:
- Perform quality control checks and basic testing on products to ensure they meet operational and safety standards.
- Document test results and report any defects or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
- Follow established protocols for troubleshooting or assisting in the repair of faulty products.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with data entry, inventory tracking, and order management in a database or spreadsheet.
- Help maintain accurate records of products, shipments, and test results.
- Process returns, exchanges, or special requests with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, customer service) to resolve any order issues.
- Provide administrative support for team communications, including filing.
- Catch-All and Miscellaneous Tasks:
- Assist with ad hoc duties as requested by management or team members, including basic office tasks and general team support.
- Ensure smooth workflow by adapting to changing needs and assisting with urgent tasks or backlogs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in packing, shipping, and product testing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and check work thoroughly.
- Basic understanding of administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods during packing and shipping activities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a warehouse or shipping environment.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Comfortable with handling packing and shipping materials, as well as small tools for testing.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, with potential for overtime during busy shipping periods.
- Work in a team-oriented environment where adaptability and collaboration are essential.
