LAB Security Systems is seeking an experienced Escomatic Machine operator to set-up and operate Escomatic Swiss Screw Machines to produce precision machined components applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, layouts, control plans and machining procedures.

Job Functions:

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and optical comparators.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials (i.e. coil stock) onto machines, adhering to all training and safety guidelines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
• Set up, adjust and use all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation of tools to perform the appropriate precision machining operations.
• Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using the appropriate instruments (comparators, gages etc.)
• Follow and document all required SPC, ISO etc. procedures as required
• Maintain escomatic equipment as required. Observe and detect any machine issues and diagnose if adjustment / repairs are required.

 Qualifications:

• Experience working in a machine shop environment.
• Set up and operation of D2, D4, and or D6 Escomatic machines.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high quality work.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Good math skills and ability to use basic measuring equipment.

 Experience:

• Escomatic Machine Operation: 1 year (Required)

 Salary: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour 

 Salary is flexible with commensurate experience.
