Stanley-Whitman House is a living history center and museum dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history and culture of early Farmington, Connecticut. Centered on a ca. 1720 National Historic Landmark house, the museum features period-furnished interiors, raised-bed gardens, an apple orchard, and heritage stone walls that bring colonial life to life.
The museum campus also includes modern public service spaces such as a classroom, tavern room, Welcome Center, research library, exhibit galleries, and collection storage. Through programs, events, and exhibits, Stanley-Whitman House encourages visitors of all ages to engage with history by doing, questioning, and exploring the ideas that shaped early New England.
